Beauty tips for your autumn slump

At the office, the straightener is currently working overtime and the bottom of the bottle of anti frizz is already in sight.s al in zicht.

Elke and I are a team bike and now that the mornings are consistently foggy and we arrive at the office nine out of ten times soaking wet up to our underwear, we have our beauty issues. But our hair is not the only thing that is having a tough time this autumn. My face is still somewhat brown, but the first dry hands have already had a dab of hand cream. Our body has to get used to the weather and that brings quite a few annoyances with it. I’ve listed the five biggest ones for you.

Dark circles

Unfortunately, it is unfairly distributed and not everyone suffers from this. Often when I’ve spent a night staring at the ceiling, I know I can see that under my eyes the next morning. Once you’ve passed thirty, the skin under your eyes becomes thinner, making the skin more transparent and your blood vessels more visible. A good concealer is then your savior in need. But a good eye cream can also work wonders. The Fast Response Eye Cream from MAC is currently my great savior in need. The cream contains caffeine, which reduces the bags under the eyes, fades dark circles, and softens and calms the skin.

Pale face

Every time I cycle past the tanning salon, there’s winking. Unfortunately, this is not really the solution, as it’s not healthy. Better to give your face a lick of paint. Apply a self-tanner over your day cream and use a bronzer. Choose a lighter variant than the bronzer that goes in your suitcase on vacation.

Dry skin

Due to rain, heating, and thick fabrics, your skin has to endure a lot. It could very well be that the day/night cream you are used to using is no longer rich enough for your face. In autumn, your face craves a fuller greasy cream that nourishes your skin. But a serum is also not a luxury. Scrub occasionally and apply a good mask at least once a week. And a tube of hand cream is also not a luxury.

Frizzy hair

Elkie, are you reading along? Just when you’ve straightened your hair and leave your house with smooth shiny locks, you look like an exploded poodle less than five minutes later. No one is really happy about that. Frizzy or static hair is caused by the moisture in the air, but the heating indoors doesn’t do much good for our hairstyle either. Therefore, use a good serum for your hair and don’t brush your hair with plastic, but with a brush made of real hair. A hair mask once a week also gives your hair a nice boost.
