Condom packaging fail
In the category of ‘this wasn't really thought through’ I want to talk about a condom packaging (which is of course very wise to use) that wasn't handled very smartly. Say It With A Condom is a company in Miami where you can design your own condom packaging because: fun and stuff for a goodie bag. They also released a line called ‘Say It With A Condom's Consent Condoms’ to promote safe sex and sexual consent.
Word puns, I really love them, but sometimes they can be a bit too complicated. Or just wrong, like they did now with the use of a donut. So what it actually kind of says is: ‘Donut (Do Not) Go Further Without Consent’, but what it looks like is ‘Go Further Without Consent’ – the complete opposite of what they want to promote. Typical case of ‘yikes, no one thought this through’.
By the way, it has already been removed from their assortment, and the company has indicated that this has been a learning moment for them. Say It With Condoms, how about you DONUT do that again.
