Sodemiauw: these are the most beautiful pedigree cats
Yes, they are pricey cats. At least we can agree on that. But honestly: also purrfect. From the Sheba commercial kitty to Taylor Swift's favorite creations: time for a cat parade of beauties.
1. Toyger
A kind of tiger in miniature size, also known as a ‘designer cat’ in America. Does this rascal behave like a tiger? Not really. In terms of temperament, the Toyger should be a sweet, friendly house cat that gets along well with other pets and children.
What do you pay for such a joke? Between 1500 and 5000 euros. Good lordy.
2. Scottish fold
My goodness, what a cutie. The Scottish Fold is known for its short coat, round head, and small ears. The smaller the ears, the higher the price often is. Taylor Swift is a big fan and her Instafamous kitties Meredith and Olivia rake in more likes than we will ever experience in a lifetime (proof!).
How much does that cost? Between 500 and 650 euros.
3. Ragdoll
Pick up this hefty rascal and there's a good chance the cat will really ‘go limp’. Hence the name ragdoll, which actually means ‘rag doll’. I would want to adopt it right away. If only for those silky soft medium-length hairs and the bright blue bead-like eyes.
How much does that cost? From 750 to 1000 euros (depending on the colour point, the colors of the paws, face, and tail).
4. Maine Coon
My mother always says: if I ever get another cat, it will be a Maine Coon. If you've never seen such a beast in real life: you will be shocked. These cat friends are SO BIG, a calf is nothing compared to them. They are always in a good mood and are often described as the clowns among the cats with their crazy antics and tricks. They entertain themselves for hours with the smallest flies or paper balls. Most Maine Coons love running water and are not even averse to a rain shower. Love this big friendly giant.
How much does that cost? Between 750 and 950 euros.
5. Siamese
Say hi to one of the oldest cat breeds kept as companion animals. The cats are popular for their beautiful blue eyes and the contrast of the point and body color. Think of a dark color on the tail/paws/ears and head, and a lighter colored body for the rest. Siamese cats are real chatterboxes with an extraordinarily loud voice.
How much does that cost? From 600 to 800 euros.
6. British Shorthair
I want to introduce you to Yasmin: the new love of our sales queen Daniëlle. This is the cutest fluffball with chubby cheeks I have seen in ages. The British Shorthair is generally quite calm and introverted. Don't have a garden? No worries, this fluffball is a great indoor cat.
How much does that cost? From 750 to 900 euros.
