Dating a celebrity lookalike
All thanks to an app
OK look, now I am totally not into using dating apps. I'm also not anti at all (Because this one seems fun), but as yet it is still not something I have felt the urge to try out. Until an email from Adeline landed in my mailbox, which now makes me quite possibly consider trying it out anyway, just to see if it's actually true.
You see, the dating app Badoo has something new: dating a celebrity lookalike. Together with some tech nerds (their words, not mine), they have created a feature that works with facial recognition. What you can do these days is that you can upload a photo of your crush. That could be a celebrity, a model, your neighbour, whoever, and then the app searches its database for a lookalike.
Now Badoo has also done some research on the top ten most wanted lookalikes right away and uh, number ten in particular I don't really understand:
- Kim Kardashian
- Emma Stone
- Beyoncé
- Selena Gomez
- Caroline Receveur
- Laetitia Casta
- Kylie Jenner
- Jessica Alba
- Marion Cotillard
- Donald Trump (WHY?!)
In case you are totally into Justin Bieber yourself, Badoo also has 873 lookalike profiles for you. My guess is that this is worldwide and not just in the Netherlands, otherwise we would have seen them walking down the street.
OK, Badoo, then. One step closer to these men. But still, tóch, my heart prefers to be with old-fashioned dating.
