What’s in my make-up bag?
What’s in my make-up bag? I didn’t think it was that much, because I mostly love a natural look. But now that I’m putting everything in order, I realize that my pouch is actually quite full. These are the ten products you will always find in my treasure chest. For that natural look, then. Oops.
1. Illuminating Primer – Tom Ford
Gives a dull skin an immediate beautiful, healthy glow, nourishes, and ensures that your foundation stays put all day.
2. The Perfect Brow – Ilham
To keep my brows perfectly shaped for up to four weeks, perfectly handled by my brow queen brushes.
3. Studio Finish Concealer – MAC Cosmetics
If you ask me, the best covering concealer to cover blemishes, spots, and dark circles. The jar is nice and small so it easily fits in your evening bag.
4. Face and Body – MAC Cosmetics
I don’t like it when I have thick foundation on my face. This ultra-light foundation feels so light that you almost forget you’re wearing foundation. Ideal on a warm summer day.
5. The Ultimate Bronzer – Tom Ford
I prefer to leave this box in a nice spot in my room rather than hiding it in my make-up bag. Tom Ford’s products are all so luxurious and beautifully packaged that it deserves a throne. A small hint of this bronzer works wonders. But secretly, I don’t use this box all over my face but as eyeshadow. I apply it both on my eyelid and under my lash line for an intense and sultry look. And the credits go to Elke.
6. Lustre Drops Highlighter – MAC Cosmetics
Years ago, this small but amazing bottle of highlighter fell into my basket at MAC in San Francisco. And since then, we’ve been inseparable. My absolute favorite. And that’s tricky because this product comes and goes. I always have a backup bottle in my cabinet; you can use one bottle for years, but just in case… A few dots on your cheekbones, cupid's bow, and high on the eyelid, and you need nothing more.
7. Eclat Minute Embellisseur Lèvres – Clarins
I have to confess that I’m really a hopeless case when it comes to lipsticks, glosses, and balms. I get the creeps from sticky lips. This lip gloss is so soft and nourishing that you can hardly feel it. The color is great, and the gloss lasts a long time.
8. Phyto-Lèvres Perfect Nude – Sisley
Before I apply the Eclat lip gloss, I subtly outline my lips with this nude lip liner from Sisley. No filler needed for a beautiful full lip; Sisley does the job.
9. Lash Queen Mascara Feline Blacks – Helena Rubinstein
The mascara of mascaras if you ask me. For the perfect curl, length, and color all day long. Okay, and a bit because of the look of the bottle.
10. Brushes – MAC Cosmetics
– 130 Short Duo Fibre Brush
For the perfect and even application of your foundation.
– 182 Buffer Brush. For all types of powders to apply evenly over your entire face.
– 213 Fluff Brush. For eyeshadow on the eyelid.
– 219 Pencil Brush. For applying eyeshadow (or bronzer) just under or above your lash line. For a sultry look.
