Dining at Jansz.

That we at the editorial office are big fans of the Pulitzer Hotel, you already knew. If for some reason you missed that, you should make sure to visit AKO soon. Our magazine is waiting for you there with incredibly beautiful images of this Amsterdam hotspot. But also for a romantic dinner for two or if you're looking for a relaxed spot to settle down with your laptop, you need to be at the Prinsengracht. Specifically at Jansz. This hotspot is inspired by the 17th-century craftsman Volkert Jansz, who was known for his excellent taste in both food and style. The cozy, inviting decor upon entering makes you feel right at home. You can see that the entrance of this building used to be a pharmacy by the collection of preserved apothecary bottles. Volkert Jansz's motto was: sharing is caring. And that has also been preserved, which you can see reflected in the menu. The portion sizes are just right; not pitifully small, but just big enough to share.

‘Volkert Jansz's motto was: sharing is caring’

Although I did have a bit of trouble with this part concept. I mention a burrata that was placed in front of me, soft, creamy, and perfectly flavored. Or the steak tartare finished with a quail egg. And mom, sorry, but Jansz. managed to surpass your meatballs. You can expect that when it's on the menu as a signature dish. But the main courses are also incredibly delicious. For the Orecchiette with fresh truffle, I’ll bring our Adeline next time. Bet she’ll lick her plate clean? And then I’ll go for the lobster risotto. Not that I had that, but it was definitely winking at me from the table next to mine. Make sure to save a spot for dessert. If you're suffering from choice stress, just get ready. Or you can do it my way and take two desserts. Sorry not sorry. But who says no to a chocolate cake with yogurt ice cream or a blueberry cheesecake with pistachio sorbet? Don’t forget to do an extra session of 7 minutes workout next to your bed the next morning. 7 minutes-workout next to your bed to do.

I think it's time for an editorial dinner again. Ladies?
