Sushi slipperrrr

Today is not going to get any better, guys, but really. I have been looking for the perfect summer slippers for ages and now the postman suddenly shows up at my door with SUSHI SLIPPERS. They exist. You should know that as a casual rice roll lover (read this, this and this just saying) I did a triple somersault when this package opened. It also comes with the fact that my previous Havaianas were eaten during the night by an aggressive beach mouse in Katwijk (I kid you not), so these friends came just in time. And just a fun fact: the very first pair of Havaianas (made in 1962) was also inspired by the Japanese zori slippers. That’s why the rice pattern is still present on the sole today. How cool is that? I won’t be able to take these slippers off in the coming months, you get that. Konnichiwa!
