Go freck yourself
Everywhere I look, I see freckles. It looks cute, it's one of the seven beauties, and if it were up to the beauty artists, freckles are hotter than hot. Even on the catwalks, the ‘kisses of the sun’ are thankfully no longer covered up. In fact, if you don't have that buildup of pigment on your face (wow, now it suddenly sounds a lot less cute), then why not just create them? And there are even different beauty tricks for that. Time for a round of creating fake freckles for pros.
Drawing them yourself
Recently, our friends from MAC Cosmetics were at the office to translate runway looks into an everyday look. Elke and Simone jumped into the makeup chair, and lo and behold, Elke came back half an hour later with freckles at my desk. And it REALLY looked amazing, unbelievable. You can easily create this at home with a light eyebrow pencil. For a natural effect, make the freckles a bit irregular in shape and also ensure that the distance between them is irregular. Oh, and an extra tip: google some pictures of people with freckles so you know exactly where to draw them best.
Sticker sheets
Nope, I’m not kidding. This really exists. Like a kind of stick-on tattoo. You know, those stickers you used to get with a bag of chips. There are actual ‘fake freckle kits’ that allow you to stick them on your face in no time. freckles 1: place the ‘freckle sheet’ on the desired spot, 2: press down a bit, and 3: then gently peel the sheet off. Voilà, there are your freckles!
Real tattoos
Because don't think that you can only have your eyeliner or eyebrows tattooed. If you want to be guaranteed freckles forever, you can of course just have them tattooed. But, eh, that might be a bit tricky if you ever get tired of it. We stick to the fake freckles from MAC.
