STRAIGHT FROM THE CATWALK

The latest trends from MAC Cosmetics

If I ever get a magic lamp in my life that allows me to make three wishes, my very first wish would definitely be to have a MAC team at my disposal every day. A team that ensures I shine through the day every day. This week, the MAC team transformed Simone's lashes into a stunning shade of blue. A literal eye-catcher. And they decided to do something exciting with my lips.

Spotted on Ailene van Elmpt during Amsterdam Fashion Week was a nude makeup look with dark lips. Not necessarily a look you would wear every day, but definitely a look that is perfect for a night out dancing with your girlfriends. Skip black and go for dark red to make it a bit more ‘wearable’. Here’s the step-by-step plan for your beauty look for the weekend:

Sculpt Foundation, €34,50

For a flawless base, the Sculpt Foundation was used.

Select Moisture Cover Concealer, €18,50

Still blemishes on your skin? Cover them with a concealer.

Omega, €19,50 + Brow Set Clear, €16,50

The eyebrows are also kept as natural as possible. First, give them more shape with the Omega pencil and then use the Brow Set Clear brush for a Cara Delevingne touch.

Vanilla Pigment Eyeshadow, €18

Since the focus is mainly on your lips, keep the rest of your look calm. For the eyes, work with an eyeshadow in the color ‘Vanilla’.

Are you going bold this weekend?

Retro Matte Lipstick: Unformerly Fabulous and Carnivorous, both €24.50

A black lip is quite intense to go out with, but do you want to adjust this catwalk look a bit more to everyday life? Tip from MAC: mix the Unformerly Fabulous and Carnivorous matte lipstick colors to achieve a dark hue, but not so much that it becomes too much.

And voilà: the Ailene van Elmpt look in a nutshell. Are you going bold this weekend?
