The Dutchies Diary

From London Fashion Week to bella Milano

Where Elke and Simone in London witnessed the return of punk and rock at Versus Versace and embroidered velvet at Erdem it’s the glitter catsuits and headbands at Gucci, the ton sur ton looks at Max Mara and the paradise birds that Kiki and I spotted in Milan over the past few days. Pretty cool if you ask me. But the ones who are secretly the coolest are our Dutchies. From the ‘couture is an attitude’ selfie of Romee Strijd at Moschino and Luna Bijl making the city unsafe on her scooter heading to Fendi to ‘Life is Gucci’ with Marjan Jonkman. How did the fashion circus look this week through the eyes of the Dutchies? Like this:

From Topshop Unique with model friend Sophia Ahrens in London quickly onto the plane to Milan. Luna Bijl's Thursday morning starts on the catwalk at Max Mara, then making the streets of Milan unsafe on her scooter heading to Fendi and Moschino. On Friday she opens the show of Sportmax. And Kiki and I were there having a great time! Luna we are fans of you!

Whether it’s the show of Peter Pilotto and Erdem in London, as a model off-duty on the streets around Fashion Week with among others Estella Boersma, Ine Neefs and Julie Hoomans or on the Milanese catwalk at No. 21 and Tod’s: Romy rocks it all. And if you recognize that cool pied de poule coat of Romy; we have another case of #twinningiswinning.

It’s time to wake up. Goodbye London Fashion Week, buongiorno Milano. And HELLO Gucci. Next stop: Emilio Pucci. And let’s just happen to spot Iris backstage there, but especially have a great time. Time for a photo and then quickly into makeup at MAC.

Romee Strijd walks the streets of Milan in the coolest looks, which she lovingly swapped for the most beautiful ton sur ton suit at Max Mara on Thursday morning. Next stop? Fendi, Moschino and Sportmax. And of course there’s time for a ‘couture is an attitude’ selfie.

From London to Milan; hood up and go! Whether it’s the nose ring at Gucci, the fragile coat at Moschino or the furry look at Versace: everything looks stunning on Marjan Jonkman. ‘Life is Gucci,’ says Marjan. And especially in this pink dress, you understand.

From New York to London to Milano: Jessie Bloemendaal is Fashion Week in full swing. This week it’s time for Gucci, Fay, No.21, Max Mara, Prada, Moschino, Diesel Black Gold and Versace. And how nice is this? Jessie and I just spot each other happily in front of Palazzo del Sanato after the Max Mara show. Oh, and check out the popcorn in Jessie's bag. Team Amayzine has it Corn Porn fan with us!

How did Maartje Verhoef start MFW? On the catwalk of Max Mara. Then transforming into a shearling slash patchwork coat from Etro. And with all that racing back and forth, of course, a taxi selfie belongs. Next Stop? I guess Paris.

From London to Milan, Tessa Bruinsma is also in attendance. Where in London her denim jacket was replaced by Simone Rocha and Burberry, in Milan it’s Emilio Pucci, Gucci and Diesel Black Gold that she walks the catwalk in.
