This golden oldie is coming back

In the category of ‘so wrong but holy shit, also so good’, I want to introduce you to a very old and very guilty pleasure of mine: Jersey Shore. Now I know that Geordie Shore was watched a bit more in the Netherlands, but that American pile of misery was also on TV in the Netherlands. A number of them have since had a few kids, gotten married, one has had some issues with tax fraud, buuuut: THEY’RE COMING BACK. And the fake tans are still very much present.

Yes yes, yesterday it was confirmed by MTV that the original cast of Jersey Shore is coming back for a revival called Jersey Shore Family Vacation. At least one of the ladies from the old series, namely Sammie ‘Sweetheart’, whose reason for not participating in the new series is still unclear. Maybe her new love (I scrolled through her Instagram) prefers that his sweetheart doesn't live under one roof with her on-again-off-again ex-boyfriend Ronnie. Too bad, it would have provided some wonderfully ordinary television again.
