It's freezing cold and the only tights that don't exceed 300 denier, I tear apart. Then without. And then not with the metro. I run around, quickly grab a fresh bowl of water for Blue, toss that lip balm in my bag and meanwhile check where the little car is on the illustrated streets of our neighborhood. Shit, it's there. With all the fuss, I run out the door. Outside, the Uber guy is already waiting and twenty minutes later I stand (on time, mind you) with surprisingly warm legs in the lobby of hotel Edition at Madison Park. Our park. Where it all began. Nostalgically, I see ‘my’ coffee bar, ‘my’ old apartment, and ‘my’ Flatiron Building in the distance. But I have no time to dwell, I need to get to my girlfriend Charlotte. Together with Baume & Mercier, Saks, and InStyle, she is hosting a dinner. The roses on the table are beautiful, the candles are burning, the food is delicious, and that in the best company.

This week it was cups of hot chocolate and a pumpkin juice, but there were also Italian cookies, desserts, and limoncellos. My friend C and I always – really always – get free food when we are out together. Sipping on the mini cups of hot chocolate with marshmallows, we can't stop laughing. What is this? Do we need to eat more or are we just a very cheerful duo that attracts cookies and sweets? Either way, it's a gift every time, although we are now of the opinion that we would greatly appreciate some savory snacks for free as well. But hey, a given horse...

By the way, I was also at Cecconi's with that same friend this week. Outside, while it really is December...

In my new oversized winter coat, I come home. It's just like a mini duvet. So when I get home, I keep it on. And so we sit on the couch. Blue is happy that I'm home. And I am just as happy. Let the weekend begin... See you next week!
