Everything comes to an end. With the sand still in our hair, tanned and satisfied, our suitcase is now back home after a long weekend. That same suitcase seems to have exploded all over our house and as I stare at the piles of laundry scattered through the living room, I think back to the Miami weekend. The hotel was a dream. The temperature tropical and I already miss our beach bed and the ‘frozen margaritas’ on this Monday morning. Weekends like this do a person good. Especially now that autumn and the cold have made their entrance. It’s gray outside and it’s raining, but one thing is for sure: where the clock ticks at home....

And now it’s already the weekend again. A week later. I tell soul sister Jane that you really blink twice and suddenly a year has passed. Because as quickly as this weekend went, so did this year: 2017. It was indeed the year of years. Full of love, insane vacations, intense parties and of course also with lesser moments, but the sparkle this year was the most of all. Fortunately, it’s not over yet, because with that soul sister we booked the last trip of this year during that same phone call. Thus: to be continued.

One person is completely in glory that the stuff is coming out of the suitcase, not going in. Our little one is so happy.

A beret, a Parisian sweater and a bit of sun. That’s how autumn at Marlow & Sons in Brooklyn is quite manageable. Until next week!
