If there were one day when a full team from MAC would be welcome to make sure I looked vibrant, it would be today. Okay okay, actually every day, but I feel like my dark circles are currently hanging somewhere around my ankles. It was worth it, because we were of course in Paris and Paris is my greatest love.

Recently, I got a look from MAC that I still regret not having myself. They gave me freckles, and I absolutely need to have those now. It's a bit like your hair. If you have straight hair, you want curls. If you have curls, you want straight hair (we always have something to complain about). Based on the look we saw on the catwalk with Tess van Zalinge, Connie from MAC Cosmetics gave me a fresh-faced look perfect for spring.

This look is mainly about avoiding harsh lines. One thing flows into another, so make sure to have a good base. For a glowy skin, they worked on me with the Sculpt Foundation, mixed with the Strobe from MAC.

For a bit of color in the face, they worked with one color on the cheeks, eyes, and lips. On my light skin, they used the color: ‘Tint’.

For the brows, we went for ‘bare’. The corners where there is a bit less hair were lightly filled in, and then they brushed through well so that the hairs became visible.

On the lashes, a swipe of brown mascara. Now I naturally have very light lashes (because: blonde) and therefore I always chose black mascara, but I have completely switched. Brown is much more natural and not harsh on your face. And then those freckles that I want so badly. They were all applied with a brow marker. Tip: you can apply it yourself if you have a steady hand, but the effect is even nicer if someone helps you with this. Also, don't work symmetrically, because when you see someone with real freckles, you can see that they are not symmetrical. Start with freckles or moles that you already have on your face and make sure that the color of the pen is not too dark.
