THANKS TO MUSIC YOU'LL NEVER HAVE SEX AGAIN
Hand in the air if you've ever created a sexy playlist for a night with your boy to get in the mood. Keep it up, keep it up. It has been scientifically proven that this is good for a wild night, but there’s more…
It turns out that music creates the same ‘pleasure’ as that of an orgasm or the use of (certain) drugs (ha! That sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll mantra makes even more sense now). McGill University in Canada published an article after a study stating that when people listen to music, the same brain areas light up as when they have sex or use drugs.
This has something to do with the brain's opioid system, which releases ‘pleasure-inducing’ chemicals like dopamine and serotonin – exactly the same substances that are released during a night of Fifty Shades of Grey in your own bedroom. By the way, if you’re wondering if your boy thinks you’re a sex beast? Here’s the checklist.
The results after the study were not entirely unexpected, as music is often used as a form of therapy but still. Music, therefore, gives you exactly the same pleasure as an orgasm and the use of drugs. See, it's perfectly fine that I've never used drugs.
Ha! That sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll mantra makes even more sense now
