A NARS makeover
Rule number one when it comes to your makeup look: don’t overdo it. If you go for bold lips, make sure the rest of the face stays calm. If you want to emphasize your eyes, don’t apply a too bright color on your lips. Recently, we have finally welcomed America’s favorite beauty brand NARS in the Netherlands, at the Bijenkorf to be exact, and a number of you editors got to jump in the chair for some tips from the beauty experts.
All three (Simoon, Lil, and I) received different looks, but all in an autumn color trend. For Lilian, a striking lip in a dark red color was chosen, while the rest of her makeup was kept natural. Nothing more than a foundation for an even skin tone and a swipe of mascara on the eye. Simoon's eyes received some extra attention with the use of applying an eyeliner and a light matte color on the lips. As part of the blue-eyed brigade, the NARS team went for bold eyes on me, applied with a duo eyeshadow (under and above the eye).

We went for autumn colors, so think of different shades of brown. And yes, it also looks nice if you have a light eye color. Just then, because it makes the light color pop.

You naturally achieve the ultimate Cara-brow with the help of a brush.
Blush – Madly
Of course available in different colors, but I worked with Madly – a bit more on the light brown side than pink, perfect for sunkissed skin in autumn.
Velvet Matte Lip Pencil – Belle De Jour
Have you focused more on your eyes? Then this lip pencil is perfect to apply. A light color for kissable lips.
