The essential jar in your kitchen cabinet
One of the most used jars in my kitchen? Absolutely the jar of tahini. There isn't just one jar, but four. From creamy light to slightly bitter to intensely dark brown. I thought there was no one on this planet who didn't know this liquid gold, but they exist. Yes, really. Tahini, a paste made from sesame seeds from the Mediterranean cuisine. Insanely delicious and also healthy. It's not only the base for your favorite spread (yes yes: hummus), but also delicious in cake batter, over apple pie, and in dressings. Besides the fact that tahini is plant-based and dairy-free, this sesame paste is packed with nutrients. In short, stock up on those jars. Just at the supermarket or your favorite corner store, because you want to try these recipes tonight.
