Also think of this perfume
When I meet a prominent person from a cosmetics brand, I want to know right away which perfume they are wearing. Because that person has tested and created everything and is a frontrunner when it comes to developments in the industry.
That's why I asked Madame d’Ornano (wife of the late founder of Sisley, Hubert d’Ornano) about her favorite perfume when I met her in her impressive apartment in Paris. I had Eau du Soir expected, my personal favorite, but it turned out to be Izia. For good reason. Izia, the youngest perfume from the house of Sisley, was her personal project. She wanted to capture the Izia rose that bloomed in the garden of her country house in a perfume. That seemed an impossible task, and therefore she went with bouquets of the Izia rose to various perfumers and commissioned them to create a perfume from it. May the best one win.
And so it happened. Izia eventually became a mix of aldehyde, white bergamot, pink pepper, amber, musk, cedar, and of course the rose. Of course, the bottle is a work of art in itself; Madame d’Ornano does not settle for less.
So if you want something different this year, add Izia to your wish list. Then you can even dream of French fields full of roses on a cold winter day.
