These series on Netflix were responsible for the most cheaters in the past year
If you're cozy on the couch binge-watching a series, you probably won't think that it can be harmful. But it's riskier than you think, that binge-watching.
Because it creates a real way of cheating, the coolest and most modern variant of deceiving each other. Netflix-cheating, that is. This means that you repeatedly watch a series together, with your lover or, if necessary, with your best friend forever, and then your companion just continues watching on a black day without you. Without telling you. Behind your back. Resulting in a feeling of betrayal. You would almost break up. Almost.
These are the naughtiest series of this year, where the most has been betrayed and lied:
1. Orange Is the New Black
2. Stranger Things
3. Narcos
4. 13 Reasons Why
5. Ozark
6. Marvel’s The Defenders
7. MINDHUNTER
8. Marvel’s Iron Fist
9. Black Mirror
10. Grace & Frankie
However, these are not the most popular programs of 2017. According to our friends at good old Netflix, we watched this the most in the past year. Note: an average of more than two hours per day.
2. Anne with an E
2. Suburra: Blood on Rome
3. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
4. 3%
5. 13 Reasons Why
6. Marvel’s Iron Fist
7. Anne with an E
8. Ingobernable
9. Travelers
10. The Keepers
And did you know that Netflix has become more expensive for everyone since today? Whether you already have an account or if you want to become a new customer of the streaming service. Those with a Premium subscription will pay €2 more per month (14 whole euros per month, yes). A standard subscription costs you €1 more every 4 weeks: from now on €11 in total, then. Boo, everything was better before, because in 2014 we only paid 8 measly euros per month.
But hey, there is hope for all the frugal ones. Just share those accounts with your girlfriends and/or the boyfriend. You’ll quickly save the cost of a glass of wine. Or two.
FACTS
- On average, someone with a subscription watches about 90 minutes per day.
- Do you always watch the same thing? Netflix has more than 76,000 categories, so do something crazy and switch it up.
- The man behind the global phenomenon: Reed Hastings. He received a $40 fine for returning his video late to the video store. Then he thought: this can be done differently. And so it happened.
