This is how you recognize if you suffer from anuptophobia
Also known as: the fear of being alone
I wrote not long ago about the most bizarre types of phobias that exist, such as the fear of peanut butter sticking to your palate or the fear of erections (bye bye sex life) and dancing. But what many people suffer from, which by the way does not fall under the bizarre category, is anuptophobia: the fear of being alone. It could even be that you don't even realize that you are suffering from it yourself.
1. You are always in a relationship
Being single? What’s that? After one break-up, you quickly have a new love in your life again. Instead of giving yourself time to get over your break-up, you have found a replacement in the love department. True, at least you are not alone, but in this way, you never take the time to figure out what you really want in a relationship. A break-up is good for you: bekijk het hier.
2. You are not picky
The first person you meet, you immediately label as your new lover. You ignore all the obvious signs that (s)he’s NOT the one, but rather that than being lonely.
3. You still have contact with all your exes
Ex-loves, flings, whatever they are to you – you still have contact with them. Not because you want to keep them as friends, more because if you ever become single again without a rebound, you can go back to an old love right away. Again, to not be alone.
4. You are no longer yourself
Suddenly you watch series that you actually don't like and change your clothing style to something your partner prefers. In short, you suddenly become a kind of copy of his or her behavior to keep them happy instead of staying true to yourself.
5. You are a bit too intense on first dates
Discussing the names of your future babies right away on a first date is a little over the top. Anyway, you find here the biggest dealbreakers during first dates. Going on a date with someone doesn't mean you have a relationship in no time. Being single and dating multiple people is actually good for you to find out what makes you the happiest.
And, do you suffer from anuptophobia? Read this for a moment. Hopefully, you'll be rid of it right away.
