So you still look flawless after a long flight

(J.Lo's makeup artist reveals)

I know, life isn't always fair. There are calories in ice cream, money doesn't grow on trees in the garden, and Jennifer Lopez is immune to the process called aging. What tha f… just.
What I find the worst about J.Lo? While an average person steps off the plane looking like a zombie, madame from the block (47 years old! HOW?!) shines like never before. But luckily, her makeup artist Kate Best is not the meanest and tells us how we mere mortals can achieve that too. Okay okay, bring on those tips, Kate, I'm listening...

1. Put your hair in a bun

The best way to avoid landing with static airplane hair? Roll your locks up into a ballerina bun on the top of your head while boarding. During landing, shake the bun loose and voilà: your hair looks great.

2. Remove your makeup

Kate advises to gently remove all your makeup with a soft facial cleansing wipe before stepping onto the plane. Because A: it won't stay put anyway and B: your face will just dry out. And hey, if J.Lo does it...

3. Use a face mask

After J.Lo cleans her face, she often uses a face mask. That Facial Treatment Mask from the brand SK-II is her favorite, in case you're curious. Oh, and Chrissy Teigen swears by the product too. Costs about 6 euros per mask and for convenience, I looked it up for us: take a look.

4. Don't drink alcohol

Because that just dries out the skin even more during the flight, according to Kate. Instead, J.Lo opts for warm water with lemon.

5. Do this à la J.Lo beautywise in your carry-on

A refreshing toner to spray on your face during the flight, anti-aging cream, eye cream, and lip balm. And also not entirely unimportant: if Jennie takes a nap during a long flight, she brings her own sleep mask and pillowcase. But it has to be silk, mind you, meaning: no sleep wrinkles upon arrival.

6. And finally, if you really want to go for A-lister-worthy, do this

Just before landing, slip into the restroom and use eye drops to combat the redness of your flight eyes (it exists people, it exists and J.Lo does it), quickly brush your teeth, touch up your makeup from A to Z, and step off the plane with a thick designer pair of glasses (these are the cutest by the way).
Good luck! And hey, don't blame me if you end up with paparazzi chasing you at the gate...
