TIPS AGAINST STATIC TERROR HAIR

Hey winter, how are you? I'm doing a bit less well, because thanks to you I've had endless bad hair days. Seriously, I don't know if I'm the only one who has such a problem, but my hair is a MESS in the winter, you don't want to know. My hairstyle especially has a lot of static twitches. Do you know that hair explosion when you rub a balloon over your locks? I now have that pretty much standard every day. It's cold, the heating is on Dubai mode, the sweaters crackle when you put them on and the hairs stick to your face.

So it was time. For myself, and certainly also for you (at least, all my companions who also suffer from this) to figure out how to tackle those static winter hairstyles. And I think, girlfriends, that I might have found the perfect remedy.

Choose the right comb

No metal or plastic brush; rather choose a brush made of nylon and boar bristle, that seems to help. There are also special hair brushes that reduce static hair. Oh, and a nice tip: first spray some hairspray on your comb or brush and then comb.

Hairspray is your best friend

Because when that cute hat went on, everything was fine, but now that it's coming off? Meine gute. Hairstyle explodes again. From now on, spray hairspray in your hat or beanie and bet that everything will be fine?

Take care of that stuff

How drier the hair, the sooner it becomes static. So pay a little attention to the shampoo you use (some can dry your hair out a lot) and especially choose many moisturizing products. So definitely don't skip that conditioner!

Be careful with blow-drying

Because yes, just read the previous point again. If you feel it's necessary, at least try not to dry it completely. blow-dry. That helps a bit. Investing in good heat-protective products is also not a luxury if you have an exploded hairstyle like mine.

Then a little about your clothing...

Try to avoid fabrics like nylon and polyester as much as possible, cotton is your new best friend, even in winter! A mix of cotton with another natural material seems to be even better.

Grandma's tip: dryer sheets

Yes, sounds weird too. And no, I haven't tried it myself yet, but I will definitely start Project Dryer Sheet this week. I came across this tip super often while searching for anti-static tips: rub a dryer sheet (those sheets that make your laundry smell nice and become anti-static) over your exploded locks and c'est tout! No more problems.
