you DREAM IN THE WORLD OF COMICS
I'm going to Comic-Con
I am already known as the tomboy of the office, the movie geek, the Netflix addict, but what you didn't know is that I am also quite a comic and sci-fi nerd. In terms of movies and series, that is. Not that I necessarily read all the comics, but I am definitely found in the cinema as soon as a new Avengers movie comes out, and when a new season of Game of Thrones is released, I make sure my alarm goes off very early in the morning so I can watch it right away the next morning (so annoying that time difference). Series FOMO I call it, but I will explain that to you later in the week.
I thought that was the only place where I could don my Superwoman suit (I kid you not)
Now Comic-Con has secretly always been very high on my bucket list, but getting there also comes with a pretty hefty price tag – it is held every year in San Diego. At least, I thought that was the only place where I could don my Superwoman suit (I kid you not) to meet my favorite actors from the movies and series I always binge-watch. Nope ladies (and gentlemen), mark March 4 and 5 in your calendars, because Comic-Con also just lives in our own little frog country. Where do you need to be? Ahoy Rotterdam.
Do you want to meet your favorite characters in person for a meet & greet? This year, among others, Lindsey Morgan from ‘The 100’, Gemma Whelan and Daniel Portman from ‘Game of Thrones’, Harry Melling from ‘Harry Potter’, and Daniel Naprous who plays Darth Vader in ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ will be there. Want to know what else you can expect? Take a look here.
And I’ve got good news for you. I'm taking Theo with me (if I can get him to walk around in a Superman suit – how fun if we match!), but I also get to give away a number of free tickets to you. I feel just like Santa Claus, but in February. I like it. Are you also excited to immerse yourself in the world of the most famous comics next weekend? Send me something nice at elke@amayzine.com and who knows, maybe we'll see each other there.
Live long and prosper.
