This is what we prefer to wear at home on the couch

As soon as I slam the door behind me after work in the evening, I wipe my makeup off my face and sprint to my closet to grab my favorite tights (nothing more than a fancy word for leggings) from the top shelf. That shelf is full of (I'm not lying) about thirty of the same kind. Yet there is one that gets pulled out every single day. Worn out from life, years old with a thread here and there coming loose and getting just a bit thinner at the backside, but hey, the best little pants can still last a while within the four walls.

Come on, there’s nothing better than at the end of the day freeing yourself from those way too tight skinny jeans, that annoyingly itchy wool sweater, and that bra that pinches just a bit too much under your arms? You’re really not the only one, girlfriend. In fact, almost 60% of the Dutch change into comfortable clothes after work and then plop down in front of the TV.

The chill pants are favored by 43% of women, while among men this is slightly lower at 31%, according to research by Livera among over 1000 Dutch people.

There is also a big difference in the opinions of older and younger people. After the chill pants, pajamas are especially popular among young people. Those over 55, on the other hand, prefer to reach for their old rags (33%) or a nice-fitting suit (21%).

While women prefer to grab a pair of joggers or a chill outfit, a fifth of men prefers to see their partner clad in less fabric. The sexy satin little numbers, lace bras, and spicy thongs take precedence over the onesie, and who can blame them? The old-fashioned pajamas are best kept by the male gender for where they belong. Meanwhile, we women don’t mind wearing those relaxed joggers and way too big hoodies; only 2.4% of people see their loved one in as little as possible.

Well. Maybe next time not a sprint to the sports shelf but a piece from another drawer? I’m going to fill my basket at Victoria’s Secret. You might as well be well prepared … Bye bye.
