Why you want to go to shopping center Hilvertshof NOW

Collaboration

This morning, Daniëlle, my sales director, and I drove towards Hilversum. Literally a ride down memory lane, because Daniëlle studied there and I worked there for years. At TV as you know, where people by the way all like this talk, very peculiar. So it was incredibly ‘This is where I always had lunch’, ‘Really?? Me too!’ and ‘This is where I first went out to eat with my love’ (Japanese in Gooiland, check). Hilversum was already nice and cozy back then, now it was nice times ten. Daan, the passenger, was busy taking pictures of himself so we wouldn't forget all the nice little shops.

We left the boutiques as they were (we'll come back, we'll come back) and went pedal to the metal to Hilvertshof. A shopping center where we both spent quite a few hours, because it had a H&M a long time ago (what a tremendous pioneer they were) and it had, besides cool shops, also practical stores like a shoemaker and a Blokker so you had everything you needed and everything you wanted to buy under one roof.

Much was still the same. The comfortable parking garage with plenty of space and an escalator that takes you straight to shopping paradise. H&M, but also Zara and Mango, trendy, healthy coffee shops, a Kiddieland (ideal for my current state of being; park the kids there and you can add at least half an hour to your shopping pleasure) and still the more practical things like the heel bar (what can a person need that for) and Van Os leather goods.

Because Hilvertshof was opening today, you were tripping over the VIPs. Marvy Rieder, Bastiaan van Schaik, Liza Sips, Marly van der Velden and my own Fred van Leer. If you're really bummed that you missed it, no worries. The whole week it's a star-studded spectacle there in Hilvertshof. Romy Monteiro, Lizzy van der Ligt, to name just a few.

Moreover, you can win prizes. There is a futuristic ball machine (Hi!BALLR – where €10,000 in prizes are distributed every day) where you go in with three others. The idea is that you collect as many balls as possible in the color of your cap and, as simple as life can sometimes be, if you have the most balls, you win. And if you catch one of the four golden balls during the holidays, you play in the grand finale on Saturday, June 17, and have a chance at the grand prize; a fully organized sun holiday for two people.

I went home with filled bags, but was far from satisfied. I will definitely go back once more this week. My shoe craves a fresh heel and I have set my sights on that dungaree in the Mango window. And if I'm there anyway, I'll grab that golden ball right away.
