6X why we have this perfume

Just like women who work together start dressing alike (we just had four of the same Balenciaga bags delivered and three of us have the exact same leopard print H&M dress), menstruate at the same time (and then enjoy Tony’s Chocolonely or Toblerone ice cream),the phenomenon of a common perfume also arises. Super handy, because if you forget your perfume, there’s always someone nearby with a travel spray or body lotion.

Gucci Bloom was the scent that we all fell in love with instantly. Each for their own reasons. The ‘clean’ aspect of the scent perfectly matched the tidy character of chef Adeline, and it was the only scent that lingered with sales director Daniëlle.

Now Gucci Bloom has a younger sister and we are completely taken aback by that as well.

1. The bottle

That was already a feat with the first Gucci Bloom, this is again the two point zero version of the first. The herbarium pattern is now executed in dark green, immediately transporting you to a secret garden full of seduction.

2. The scent of course

Clearly linked to the first, so just as fresh and clean, but Acqua di Fiori is just a bit more layered, more intense. The master perfumer Alberto Morillas describes it as a ‘floral waterfall’ where a green and new fresh watery accord of green galbanum and blackcurrant is paired with soft musk tones from the leaf of the galbanum and spicier blackcurrant buds. For freshness, there is jasmine, honeysuckle, and tuberose, with sandalwood finally providing depth.

3. The models

Dakota Johnson, Hari Nef, and Petra Collins must have been selected for their most dreamy look.

4. The ‘longevity’

Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori is a scent that really lingers. Even for types (like our Daan) who seem to ‘eat’ their perfume (and makeup too).

5. The signature

‘Are you wearing Gucci Bloom?’ someone asked me in the gym the other day. Here spoke a fan. But if you know the scent, you recognize it everywhere. And you leave such a lovely trail behind when you leave the room.

6. Alessandro Michele

I mean: we want to have everything from Alessandro, right? And this is still affordable too.

Can’t resist? You can get Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori in a 50 ml package for €80.
