And again someone steps out of life

After Kate Spade and Inés Zorreguieta someone else has decided to end their life. It was just announced that Anthony Bourdain, the charming TV personality of 24Kitchen, has ended his life.

Bourdain is a chef, author, and presenter. I always enjoyed his literary voice-over texts and his extraordinary travels, such as the one to Vietnam with Barack Obama. Bourdain was not averse to a sniff, a little sex, a drink, or a shot and openly discusses this in his book ‘Kitchen Confidential’. He once married his childhood sweetheart, stayed with her for twenty years, but still divorced. He found love again in the Italian Ottavia Busia, with whom he has a daughter, Ariane. When she was born, he turned his life around and quit smoking. Ottavia and Anthony separated two years ago.

Apparently, he had no peace. He will be missed. And tonight I will binge 24Kitchen and at least be grateful for all the beautiful programs he has left behind.
