Applause for the loafer from Fabienne Chapot

In the car to the editorial office, I called May to check how the show of Fabienne Chapot was. “The loafers, Adelain, the loafers,” she said. When May says things like this, you know it's serious business. I opened my laptop with a somewhat quickened breath, typed ‘loafer show Fabienne Chapot’ into the Google search bar and there they were. In velvet, in red, in icy blue, some black, a print here and there. And I fainted behind my desk from greed.

But not only the loafer is cool (even though they are at the top of my wish list), also Fabienne Chapot Fabienne Chapot herself is one of the coolest female designers from the Netherlands. The theme ‘L’Atelier de Fabienne Chapot’ felt wonderfully artistic. The models were real. And oh yes, that burgundy blazer with a belt around the waist called my name, but we’ll talk about that later. What I just want to say is: hats off, Chapot!
