Beyoncé takes over Anna Wintour

‘I am not bossy. I ám the boss.’ It is well known that Beyoncé wears the pants in just about everything in life, but the fact that she even got Anna Wintour to have complete control over the September issue of Vogue is quite noteworthy.

Queen B herself graces the cover of the most important (and thickest) issue of Vogue and demanded full creative freedom to determine everything. Which photo is chosen for the cover and even which captions will be used. Is that special? Um, yes. It is quite spectacular that a cover model gets so much say over how she is positioned in Vogue. Normally, those portrayed have no input at all. Additionally, Beyoncé was allowed to decide who would photograph her for the issue of the year. It was an African American, and that has never happened in 126 years at Vogue. The very young Tyler Mitchell (23) is the lucky one.

Hmm, the fact that Anna Wintour agreed to Beyoncé's demands fuels speculation that this could very well be her last September issue. Publisher Condé Nast has so far denied everything. In any case, B, you have really pulled this off for yourself. We can't wait for the cover.
