Blondes hebben meer… geld

I hardly find anything more enjoyable than going to the hairdresser. That chatter with foils and colors and pleasantly scented hair sprays and shampoos and hissing curling irons that suddenly give me a royal hairstyle and five hundred times more volume – an intense party.

Yet I almost never dare to do anything drastic with my own hair. It’s always long, very long, with the only variation being some simple layers. Boring. The biggest change was that I used to be super brunette in a distant past, but was once persuaded to get three subtle highlights, which have now completely turned summery and white and ash blonde. In short: I’m a fake blonde. I don’t mind, because I always have regrowth so I’m not completely hiding my natural color. Plus: it’s not that bad to be blonde, because research shows that blondes certainly earn 7% more than brunettes.

Good for me: in this research it didn’t matter whether the colored blonde hair was dyed or natural. Which color you should skip if you dive into foils again? Unfortunately for all women with red hair: they earn the least. And let the fifty shades of black and brown be. Brunettes And women with black streaks, no matter how pretty their face, would also work longer hours than women with light locks. Joe, less salary, more work… I don’t know if I’ll ever dare to put a brown rinse over those highlights. And want to, you know…

Then I might as well go for a shorter bob, I don’t care. You have to do something completely different once in a while, you know. Moreover, women with a bob are often more successful than women with long hair; that’s proven too. So it’s worth a try, especially in combination with that bucket of peroxide in my hair.
