‘Oh, just be careful, the moment Otis goes to daycare you're stuck with runny noses, fever attacks, and other ailments.’ Lightly deaf to this, I thought that Otis wouldn't pick up anything so quickly... Boy, what was I wrong. Mister has only been twice and last night it suddenly hit: high fever, runny nose, a wheezy cough, and a very fragile little cry that goes through marrow and bone. As much as I love it when he lies against me, having such a rag doll draped around you that hardly moves feels anything but nice. Hopefully, after a good night's sleep, he'll be a bit back to his old self, but then comes the next point: that mom and dad of course take over everything from their son. The jars of vitamin pills are already ready and now occupy half the countertop. I did stock up on some extra jars yesterday.

We are fully in rehearsals for our new show ‘Female Rappers’ and by now I can only dream in rap lines. We have written three fantastic songs and I genuinely think they all have high hit potential. The premiere is on March 25 at the Supperclub in Amsterdam and I can't wait to hear the audience's reactions. If everyone is just as enthusiastic as we are, we might actually release the songs. A career switch? No way, but ‘an own rap song’ can be crossed off my bucket list.

My nail polish addiction has been discussed here many times and it is constantly fed by the new seasonal colors. Just when I was a bit tired of my winter colors, a new package from Caption with the Resort collection was already in the mailbox. So I spontaneously want to go on vacation. That's not in the cards for now, so I'll just brave the cold with these lovely fresh colors! Another nice bonus: this nail polish is dry within a minute thanks to the LacQ-3 technology, so between folding laundry and making bottles, I have just enough time to throw on such a lovely new color.

I still haven't completely ‘landed’ after those lovely Curaçao temperatures for two weeks. Every morning I stand in front of my closet and can think of nothing else but a lovely warm tracksuit and thick warm socks. And when it comes to footwear, I want nothing else but sneakers and boots, so it was time to score a nice pair in the sale. For years I've secretly longed for a pair of Dr. Martens, but my husband has vetoed that. I understand his comments, but heythe trick is of course to combine those chunky boots with a nice outfit. When this beautiful pair came by at Omoda, I seized my chance and my wish has finally come true. What do you think? Jon likes them too.

Monday was the premiere of ‘Het leven is Vurrukkulluk’ (yes, I had to spell this title on the red carpet and that went horribly wrong…). Frans Weisz fought for half a century to be able to adapt this beautiful book into a film and now his wish has finally come true. And then his son and our good friend Géza also played the lead role, who -mind you- was still in kindergarten during the first sketches. It was meant to be that this project is only now realized. A delightful film with the beautiful Vondelpark as a backdrop and of course super proud of Géza. Go see it!
