The new Friday afternoon snack

So I've developed a new addiction. And it's serious. When I said it out loud here in the editorial office, there was a chuckle on the left and I saw an eyebrow raise on the right. This is about a fried broad bean. And admit it: you’re probably thinking, 'there she goes again,' but believe me, you want this. When I boarded the plane last week to stretch and relax on the yoga mat in the African country, I was more than happy with the small but very nice box. You know: I'm quite attached to my daily portion of greens and on the plane, the chance of finding greens under the aluminum foil is very small. In fact, no matter how small the container is, it’s a calorie bomb. Anyway, those broad beans. They were in my bag and the small box was empty even before the nice lady came to pick up the still-filled tray. The green snack isn’t super healthy; the bean has still had a little fat bath and is dipped in a bath of soy sauce, but it is tasty. So it’s the perfect snack for your drink this afternoon, a glass of wine tonight, or as a replacement for your airplane meal. You can buy the snack for less than two euros at Aldi and next to the bean, there’s also a spicy pea and salted edamame on the shelf. And uh, I’m also going to help that chuckling colleague on the left and the frowning colleague on the right with an addiction this afternoon. Everyone to the broad bean, the new Friday afternoon snack.
