Netflix launches Elite, a Spanish Gossip Girl

Good morning Upper East Siders. Did you miss me? I’m sure you did. Spotted: Kiki’s watching Netflix. Not just any series, but the latest hit that half the world seems to be captivated by: Elite. Long story short: Elite takes place in Las Encinas, the best and most exclusive school in Spain, where the children of the Spanish elite study. After a nearby school collapses, three students from the working class are placed in the school. They think they are ‘the lucky ones’, but nothing could be further from the truth… This is brilliantly conceived, it’s unbelievable. The clash between rich and poor, ‘those who have everything’ and ‘those who have nothing to lose’ culminates in… murder. The big question: who did it? You know image is everything. But under those perfect clothes and perfect smiles, everyone has their not-so-perfect secrets…

Starting October 5 on Netflix. And, La Casa de Papel's María Pedraza, Miguel Herrán, and Jaime Lorente are also in it. Just three more weeks to wait and then happy binging, yay!
