In our live blog, we tell you everything about the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. At 1:00 PM (Dutch time), the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle begins at Windsor Castle.

  • 16:02 – Fun fact of the day: British media report that Harry says to Meghan in the carriage, ‘that he could use a drink now’. Cheers.
  • 15:34 - Oh, and everything about Meghan's dress.
  • 15:32 – Just kidding, we're back. What you want to know: Prince Harry officially received permission to wear a uniform and a beard. Look, that's following and breaking protocol at the same time.

  • 14:31 – The carriage rides back down the driveway to Windsor Castle and Meghan is just caught in a wooooow moment as they pass through the gate. A bit overwhelmed, to be honest.
  • 14:25 – The crowd is ecstatic along the route. Prince Harry and The Duchess of Sussex wave and they look stunning together. The horse at the front of the procession is a bit out of place. We understand, we would be too.

  • 14:07 – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle get into the carriage for the round along all the people before the reception begins.
  • 14:05 – THE KISS. THE KISS. THE KISS. Outside on the church steps, the kiss everyone was waiting for.

  • 14:04 – After ‘God save the Queen’, the newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle walk towards the exit of St. George's Chapel.
  • 13:40 – THEY ARE MARRIED. HUSBAND AND WIFE. The cheering echoes through the church doors from outside.

  • 12:57 – A historic moment: this is the first time Queen Elizabeth is present at the wedding of a divorced woman.
  • 12:54 – A special entrance for the royal family. Prince Charles, Camilla, The Queen (92) and Prince Philip are present. The queen in lime green, Camilla in pink.
  • 12:53 – Doria Ragland, the mother of the bride, enters the chapel.
  • 12:50 – Meanwhile in the chapel: Prince Harry shifts a bit nervously in his seat and brother William makes jokes to reassure him. And by the way, can we get a round of applause for William's cheeky face?
  • 12:46 – Almost, almost, almost, Meghan and her mother drive down the driveway to St. George’s Chapel.

  • 10:40 – King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are not at the wedding, as it is not a state affair.
  • 10:24 – Prince Harry chooses to wear a wedding ring, just like his father. Prince Philip and Prince William do not wear one.
  • 10:18 – It will be busy in Windsor today. The estimate is that 120,000 visitors are traveling to the town for the royal wedding.
