You now want to bowl at this Mad Men bowling alley in the Netherlands

That design bowling alleys exist is already great news. That the design bowling alley with the most beautiful interior in the world is located in the Netherlands is a hundred percent confetti. And you want to go there right away.

Lucky’s Bowling in Warmond, which is next to Leiden, wins the award for the cleanest interior. Just imagine the Golden Televizierring but then in bowling land. High ceilings, nice chesterfields, and old Leiden city lamps give a vintage touch to the lane. And the fact that they go all out at Christmas is evident from the fact that I momentarily confused Lucky Bowling with Disneyland while checking the photos.

When I think of bowling, unfortunately, I think of shady projection screens where twenty music videos from the seventies are rotating. Lucky’s Bowling has approached this just a bit differently. On the three hundred square meters of video wall, Christmas animations appear while you happily throw your spare.

The bowling menu is also striking. Normally, you’d be stuck with a soggy frikandel and lukewarm iced tea, but Lucky’s serves you a gin and tonic alongside a crispy, Italian pizza. Suddenly, those children's parties become enjoyable for parents too. But of course, you can also leave those at home. The question is not if you will go, but when and with whom.
