New York Fashion Week
The highlights so far

Copenhagen and Berlin have now closed their Fashion Week doors and in New York, the fashion party is in full swing this week. The highlights so far? Nicki Minaj getting a shoe thrown at her head (after all, it's Fashion Week), the opening of the Yves Saint Laurent Beauté hotel, and of course all the hot items straight from the runway. This is New York Fashion Week as if you were front row.

September 5:

The Tom Ford show

From wool to patent leather and everything in between, with the favorite being Joan Smalls' leopard look and the XXL feather coat.

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj clash

The two clashed during the opening party of NYFW, after which Cardi B allegedly threw a shoe. Cardi B stated in a response that she wanted to confront Minaj because she had spoken negatively about Cardi B as a mother. Minaj denied this. So much for the first fashion party...

September 6:

The Jeremy Scott show

Power, hope, riot, sex, peace, and a big fat shock, Pikachu and lots of checks. Jeremy is in the house. Oh, and Dutchies Marjan Jonkman, Jessie Bloemendaal, Luna Bijl, and Roos Abels too.

September 7:

The Tory Burch show

Cooper Hewitt, Central Park is where you want to be on Friday at 10 AM. Tony Burch rolls out her runway and showcases the most beautiful creations.

September 8:

The opening of the Yves Saint Laurent Beauté hotel

Paris and Hong Kong were already the lucky ones to have a Yves Saint Laurent hotel in their city, and now it's the turn of the Big Apple. In SoHo to be precise. Shopping on the rooftop, toasting in the beauty café, and taking a dip in the pool: the Yves Saint Laurent Beauté hotel it is.

September 9:

The Escada show

Dutchie Maartje Verhoef at Escada, an overload of polka dots, flowers, hearts on bags, and oversized suits in bright colors. Exactly what we needed with front row one of our favorite people from the modeling world: Leandra Cohen (you know, from Man Repeller).

September 10:

The Proenza Schouler show

A leading role for metallics, both in vests and in skirts and pants. And if we are to believe the fashion girls, it’s the blouse with dip-dye mix and match print that we want to stock up on next season.

Next stop: Calvin Klein 205W39NYC and Michael Kors in London, Milan, and Paris. SO EXCITED. And you understand: definitely to be continued.
