Style Files
Sarah Jessica Parker
This week she was again my friend. Because what a hassle. That Kim Catrall. Oh my goodness and goodness. Did you miss the Insta-fight? Just read here what Kim Catrall has said all sorts of nasty and inappropriate things.
But the week was again filled with Sarah Jessica and therefore she knocked on the door to dedicate a style file to her. And of course, I do that. That's just me.
Style
The styles of Sarah Jessica (by the way, did you know she played Annie on Broadway at the age of twelve? I find those kinds of things, in my in-depth research) are two extremes. On one hand, you can picture her in a light skinny with ballerinas and a big sweater or a comfy vest, and the other Sarah is the woman who seizes every premiere or gala to go all out with designers and headpieces from Philip Treacy that took 200 hours to create. The binding element is her love for fashion, designers, and vintage.
Labels
Sarah loves designer pieces. At the Met Gala you see her, for example, in an impressive dress with a diameter of three meters from Oscar de la Renta. Prabal Gurung, Vivienne Westwood, Naeem Khan, Louis Vuitton, Erdem. In her daily life, SJP loves to wear jeans from Closed and from the brand Malibu, where cashmere is woven into the jeans, making them extra comfortable. Furthermore, she has been happily wearing her dress from Guy Laroche for more than fourteen years, and that is typical Sarah. Investing in designer pieces and wearing them for a long time. She wore this black Laroche from funeral to baptism to wedding.
Typical Sarah
Unless she really, really, really goes ‘out’, you will always recognize Sarah by her loose hair, understated makeup, and either a huge statement heel or a beautiful ballerina flat. There is always something pronounced about her look. And the chances are high that something in her look is vintage. Because ultimately, finding unique pieces is what makes her the happiest.
