The tip for a night of lounging on the couch

Couch potato sessions are my favorite in our current season. Give me a good series or movie and I'll be entertained for a few hours. Including a sweet treat on the side if possible. But despite all my weekly tips on what to watch, from the latest additions on Netflix to what is currently playing in theaters, it's time for some inspiration that is just a little different from how we always watch movies these days. In the past, it was always an outing for me when I headed to the video store to pick out a DVD. You would wander around the store for half an hour (if not longer), looking for something to watch. Okay, you can skip the searching this time, but that movie, I have for you.

The Beguiled. The film with an almost ‘all women cast’ including Nicole Kidman, who recently won a Golden Globe for her role in Big Little Lies, Elle Fanning, Kirsten Dunst, and as the male lead, we have Colin Farrell. This film, directed by Sofia Coppola, whom you might know from Lost in Translation, is set during the American Civil War. A wounded man is found by one of the girls living in Miss Farnsworth's girls‘ school (played by Nicole). The ladies in the school decide to take care of him, but they each fall for his charms one by one. You get it: rivalry arises... A film that claims your attention until the very end, so good news for you. From today, it is available on Blu-ray and DVD in stores or to order at bol.com. Enjoy your couch potato movie time!
