The unusual tip against blisters
The well-shaped eyebrows Lil's eyebrows shoot up in disbelief and she shouts very loudly: “With deeeeoooo?” Just after she shared an anecdote with me about how her half foot came along when she took a blister plaster off her ankle during Fashion Week in Milan. I still shudder a bit from that. But my answer stands. The unusual tip against blisters has everything to do with deodorant.
When I have to break in a new pair of high heels, I don't leave the house without a hefty spray. I actually do everything to prevent blisters, because for me they heal with a delay, I believe. I can be dealing with that for two weeks. And if you have had a career in the shoe industry you pick up secrets. Like that you always have to rub smooth leather with a pantyhose after polishing, because they will shine enormously. Or that your shoes really perk up from a cleaning session with a Zwitsal baby wipe, because such a wipe not only refreshes but also cares due to the oil it contains. Is your shoe squeaking? You solve that by sprinkling some talcum powder in it. Yes, no one said it was going to be sexy, but it is handy. And so deodorant, my rather unusual tip against blisters.
What to do? Spray your feet with deodorant, especially in the places where you quickly get blisters. The structure of your deodorant reduces the friction from your shoes. Just to be safe, I always spray my whole foot from ankle to toe, because you pull the hairs out of your head if you suddenly get a blister next to the sprayed area (and they smell nice and fresh too). Voilà, almost no chance of blisters. If that doesn't lead to high-heeled dancing tonight, then I don't know what will.
