These are the highest paid TV actresses this year
A list to turn green with envy... Sofia Vergara, actress of Modern Family, earns a handsome 42.5 million per year. With a really fun job, of course.
With the delightful role of Jay's wife, Gloria, it's good earning. By the way, she earns almost double that of the number two on the list, Kaley Cuoco. Kaley who? Yes, that name doesn't ring a bell, but Penny from The Cheesecake Factory absolutely does, right? She plays one of the lead roles in the hit series The Big Bang Theory and gets 24.5 million for that per year. Fun fact: when they first started the show, the guys (Sheldon, Leonard) gave up some of their salary because they wanted to keep it equal to Kaley's. And now she is one of the highest paid TV actresses in the world. Well done, you. By the way, Jim Parsons, Sheldon, is the highest paid TV actor. He does well with 23 million per year. And their The Big Bang Theory colleagues, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik (Bernadette and Amy) also make the top ten with a salary of 12 million dollars each.
The list also includes names like Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy) with a salary of 23.5 million, Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order) with a respectable 13 million, Julie Bowen (Claire, also from Modern Family) with 12.5 million dollars, Kerry Washington (Scandal) with 11 million, Claire Danes (Homeland) with 9 million and Pauley Perrette (NCIS) with 8.5 million dollars. So no small change.
The most popular Dutch actresses? High on the list are Chantal Janzen, Famke Janssen, and Carice van Houten. What they earn is nowhere to be found. But if you aspire a career on Dutch television? Don't count on such a high salary. Most soap actors earn about 30k per year – or converted about 125 euros per day. So one tip: go to America and follow Gloria. Speak a bit of fake Spanish English and you'll be there. Or go work at The Cheesecake Factory. You never know.
