Love & Sex

This is how long it takes before you feel comfortable with your partner

It's quite a thing, being naked for the first time in your house and not finding it a problem at all if your lover is watching, looking at everything that jiggles and flops and bounces and sloshes.

We also take our time in our brand new relationships. Women only sleep naked next to their partner after about four months and only walk around naked then, because they find it a bit too scary earlier. It's something to do with discomfort. Men feel it's okay to jump into bed in their bare butt after about three months and to walk around naked in the house.

But what we find much worse than being naked in front of our partner, and which we also wait a lot longer for: peeing with the door open. Let alone, uh, doing the big business while he's around. As women, we definitely wait a whole year for this. Men are already willing to pee without closing the door behind them after about seven months. But it's still a thing: some men and women don't dare at all and still do it with the door tightly shut after fourteen years. It's just about what you feel comfortable with.

It's sad for all light sleepers: we only dare to say after 4.5 months that we can't sleep because of his snoring. That's a whole lot of sleepless nights and bags in the morning. You'd rather mention that after a week, right?
