This is the Netflix series you want to watch tonight

What plans I had for this weekend, May asked me while she was cutting a fresh slice of ginger (we go through liters of fresh ginger here daily, in case you didn't know). For a moment I hesitated whether I should come up with something interesting or just be honest. And yes, again I went for the latter option. A bit of exercising, a bit of Netflixing then. Because girlfriend, if you are as hooked on Antony Bourdain as I am and can't wait to dive into the kitchen tonight to whip up that perfect lasagna, then today is your favorite day. Starting today, there is a delicious new series on Netflix that will make you hungry. And wanderlust.

None other than chef David Chang is on a quest for the world's tastiest food in the 8-part series Ugly Delicious. Don't expect Instagrammable avocado roses or ridiculously expensive colorful paintings in Michelin-starred restaurants. David Chang travels the world, primarily tasting street food. And believe me, that will make your stomach rumble. From Japanese pizzas and Mexican tacos to perfectly fried fried chicken and Korean barbecue. Comfort food then. Which I love, and you do too.

According to David, food is the means to communicate and discover cultures. And that is exactly what he wants to convey with this brand new series. It’s not always the prettiest food, but that’s precisely what Ugly Delicious is about. According to David, food is the means to tell stories and discover cultures.

So uh, I don't know what your plans are, but I'm going to swing by the Ap for a portion of comfort food and dive onto the couch. Looking forward to it.
