This is what happens to your body if you sit on the terrace for two weeks
Of course, it's not really your fault; it's due to this bizarrely beautiful weather that just won't stop.
According to meteorologists, the warm weather will even continue into October. Hello. That means: autumn in shorts, colored leaves with rosé, terraces open until Christmas. Sounds cozy, and it is. But it's a bit less good for your health, it turns out.
How does that work? Alcohol, of course, first and foremost. You quickly drink one wheat beer and one rosé too many, which you would never gulp down on an average Monday in winter. Your body swells a bit from the alcohol. The days after, your body really holds onto some moisture, making you look a bit puffy . Additionally, all that alcohol isn't great for your skin, hello teenage pimples that had been gone for ages. Due to the heat combined with your alcoholic treats, they're back. Wow, you look sixteen again.
What else happens on the inside? With all that terrace sitting week after week, you get a lot fewer vitamins. You don't really notice it, but it happens. At home, you might whip up some warm vegetables, and occasionally a sporadic broccoli or a pack of blueberries might flutter by, but at that trendy place, you order nothing but bitterballen and cheese sticks. Moreover: with those two weeks on the terrace, you also beautifully skip two weeks at the gym. Are you crazy, it's summer now, now it's allowed, later we'll get back to body pumping in the autumn.
But yes... That autumn is taking its sweet time. Better to skip a Tuesday on the terrace and have a, well, little blue drink. Just as a tropical surprise for your body.
