What you can do this weekend

If you type ‘what to do’ into Google and ‘with Ascension 2018’ appears voluntarily behind it, then we need to do something with that. For entertainment, because you should spend that extra day off nicely. By the way, don't let those few degrees below zero drive you crazy, because it will definitely be nice. Out of the wind, under a canopy, and with the heater on, it's like summer. But what to do with Ascension (and the weekend)? Here it comes.

Rrrrrolling Kitchens, baby

Is already in full swing at the Westergasfabriek, but you can still go there until Sunday. Strolling from food truck to food truck and then eating in between... Yes, I want a day out. Churros, wraps; I'm already hungry.

Grab a terrace on Mother's Day

The Mother's Day terrace of Free a Girl to be exact, at the Plein in The Hague. Think: live music, a nice treatment, some street food, and Gwen van Poorten, because she is the new ambassador. Not only do you do something fun, but also something good for mothers and daughters all over the world. And click here if you still don't have a gift.

Jazzzzz

One of the oldest festivals in the country and oh so beloved: Breda Jazz Festival. You occasionally pay an entrance fee somewhere, but otherwise, it's all about jazz throughout the city. And you know it, right: Breda is also bizarrely Brabant cozy.

In case you're still hungry

Go to the Trek Festival Rotterdam. Eating, eating, eating, eating in Vroesenpark, one of the coziest spots in Rotterdam. In the meantime, you can enjoy some theater and music.

Netflixing

I was just very la-la-la about the weather, but today it's really a bit gloomy, just like Sunday. Perfect conditions to turn on Netflix. Here you will find everything that is new on Netflix in May.

Dancing, dancing, dancing

Ascension, that's a little festival. You can go to Heaven Open Air in Heerenveen to sway along with Lil’ Kleine, sing a little at Oerrock with Chef'Special and Anouk, and in Amsterdam, you go to the NDSM wharf for Hemeltjelief.

Have a great weekend.
