Will this be the successor to 13 Reasons Why?
In how many days did you watch all the episodes of 13 Reasons Why? Two? Three? Honestly, it was the ideal series to binge. Nerve-wrackingly satisfying, adding up those tapes from one direction thirteen. Before the black hole loomed, there was thank god The Handmaid's Tale (if you haven't seen it yet: like the sodebliksem to Videoland), but season 2 also came to a nail-biting end and then there it was again, hi, the black hole.
Look, go enjoy your summer, I hear you thinking. Look, technically I do go outside. With a gin and tonic in the garden, bingeing is different, right? That's what I mean. Anyway, there seems to be something new coming that they are already talking about in America as ‘the new 13 Reasons Why’ and of course I have to be there like the chickens. The name is Euphoria. The series revolves around a number of themes that young people face: relationships, drugs, identity, traumas, and social media. Completely of the here and now. You follow Rue in the series (played by Zendaya), 17 years old and already addicted to drugs. There is still serious secrecy about when Euphoria will actually be available (in any case, it is running on HBO), but you understand that I will dig into that for you. I’ll be back.
