Coming soon: season 4 of Lucifer on Netflix

At home in all markets, that Netflix. They remain busy bringing their own Originals to the market, from series to movies, but apparently they also breathe new life into fan favorites. The series Lucifer was canceled by the American network FOX after three seasons. Huge panic among the fans, who massively started the hashtag #SaveLucifer and made it trend. With obvious success. A bit lame that cancellation, since they let season 3 run its course with a big cliffhanger. You can't do that, of course, right? Well, they thought so at Netflix too. So season 4 is coming, and then everything at once on our favorite streaming service. So it's perfectly fine that Lucifer is gone from FOX, because now we can binge it all at once binge-watching.
And we can start binge-watching very soon. There isn't a definitive date yet, but the teaser has just been released on Twitter. Where the accounts of Lucifer and Netflix are not so subtly flirting with each other, by the way. Is that something new, flirting series and streaming services? Oh well, it works anyway, because from the conversations it can be inferred that the new season will be online ‘very soon’. As for spoilers, the teaser doesn't tell you much more (maybe that's for the best), but a new character is introduced. Eve, as in: Adam and Eve. Or as she says herself: ‘the original sin’. Chloe is also back, and the teaser hints a little at a love triangle. Oh yes, and Lucifer himself is also putting on his Adam's costume. Oh yes, he walks around naked. Check it out for yourself.

Need a little refresher course? No problem. Lucifer tells the story of – how surprising – Lucifer. Also known as the devil. He’s had enough of hell, and that’s why he starts a nightclub in Los Angeles. City of Angels, and of the devil, of course. He also becomes an advisor to the police. And that’s also where he meets Chloe. As sidekicks, they solve the cases and of course, there’s also the necessary romance involved. The first three seasons are already on Netflix, by the way. So if you’re looking for a new series; here you go.
As I said, the fanbase of Lucifer is quite vocal on the internet, and besides going wild on theories surrounding the cliffhanger, they also do so about the release date. And the following dates come out: May 10 (because that’s when it was announced that FOX canceled season 4), Easter, or the sixth day of the sixth month. The last one seems the least likely to me, because that will take a while. But if one of those other dates is correct: told you so.
