Everything you want to know about the latest season of OINTB

This coming Friday is finally the moment we get to see our favorite women's clique behind bars. And we will also lock ourselves up for a bit, because the seventh (and final) season of Orange is The New Black will be my weekend activity, for sure. A case of turning off the phone, turning on Netflix, and providing myself with good catering. And probably tissues, because I've never been very good at saying goodbye. Almost a year ago, the creators announced that the upcoming season would be the last. ‘We will give you everything and more’ was promised to us for a while. Well, let's just hope for that. Go out with a bang, please.

In the last season, almost everyone is still behind bars, except for Piper (Taylor Schilling). She has to fend for herself in the ‘real’ world while her friends are still locked up. You guessed it: it's not going smoothly for her. It also seems that we have already said goodbye to Litchfield for good. In season 6, the ladies were transferred and even split into different prisons. The way we will see Litchfield again is only in flashbacks. There is also a chance that the orange outfits are in the trash, as the inmates now wear blue, khaki, or pink. Just to clarify: blue stands for block C, khaki for block D, and pink for block C (also known as ‘Florida’, or the luxury block). Apparently, Cindy has the most ‘luck’: she ends up pretty in pink in Florida.

I already mentioned the tissues, because I will definitely need them when it comes to Red. And Daya. The actresses have already spoken out about their characters, saying that they ‘know how it ends, and that's sad.’ Okay... Maybe a bit of a happy ending? When it comes to Daya, absolutely not: ‘Unfortunately, that's not the realistic view.’ Ouch.

Another familiar face is back, Sophia (Laverne Cox) has been spotted doing Piper's hair. Yes, outside the prison. Sophia was released early in season 6, and it seems she is doing well outside Litchfield – at least one happy ending then. The question I would like an answer to: where has John Bennett gone, Daya's baby daddy? We haven't seen him since season 3, and where he is is a big mystery. I hope all loose ends will be addressed.

By the way, Netflix has investigated what their most successful series (of the Netflix Originals) was, and the answer may be a bit obvious, but indeed: it is Orange Is the New Black. Hopefully, we will get just as a nice series in return. But as Miss Claudette Pelage already said: ‘Hope is a dangerous thing.’ So let's count down to Friday.
