How To Get Away With Murder is fortunately still getting a season 6

This time is always a bit exciting for American series. Because this is the time of year when it becomes clear whether a series will be canceled or will continue. For some series, that is already quite clear, for example, Riverdale immediately gets a go (and rightly so, of course). And yes, also the neverending series Grey’s Anatomy is back for the next season. For some series, it's a bit touch and go, for example, New Girl has indeed really started its last season. But dear viewers, we can fortunately still continue for another year with How To Get Away With Murder. This series was also in the ‘touch and go’ camp, but has indeed received that sixth season. There is a reasonable chance that this will be the very last one, but that also means we will get an answer to the cliffhanger. Nothing is as frustrating as a series ending without a nice finale, after all.
Because that cliffhanger (spoilers incoming) from season 5, I definitely want an answer to. Karla and her son went missing, presumably due to Laurel's shady family members. But there is also the possibility that she staged the disappearance herself. The actress who plays Laurel also says that there is still a possibility that they may not even be alive anymore. Whatever is going on with them, we will at least get an answer. And we will also find out whether Annalise's boss, Emmett, has breathed his last or not. In the finale of season 5, we saw him going quite badly due to a suspected poisoning. When is still a bit unclear, but we do know that season 6 will consist of 15 episodes.
Even though it was a bit exciting whether this season would still come, the creators had good hope. Otherwise, they wouldn't end with a cliffhanger, they said (I completely agree with them). And they have already given some hints here and there about what might be the end game in season 6. If we go back in time to the very first season (hi 2014), you might remember that it all started with the murder of Sam Keating. Now the creator says that the FBI has really been keeping an eye on our favorite murder club all this time and that it might lead to a grand finale. He promises that there will definitely be consequences for all the missteps made in the past seasons.
I already said that I suspect season 6 will be the last, but don't hold me to that. In any case, the creators have already written the ending for How To Get Away With Murder. The writer was asked about it and he responded enthusiastically with ‘I do, and I LOVE the idea.’ At least we won't get a disappointment like Pretty Little Liars when that ending approaches. I can't survive another English twin sister or a legion of people suddenly rising from the grave.
