Meghan Markle is back: this happened last weekend

Oh, Meghan. I dare say the Queen has quite a few headaches since Meghan joined the royal family. Because yes, she does things just a little differently. An Instagram account? That's not allowed, but she does it anyway. A baby shower? That's really a royal no-go, but not for Meghan: she just holds one in New York.

And as a new mother, you can of course enjoy your maternity leave (yes, even as royalty). And then it comes in very handy that Donald Trump happens to visit during that leave. You have a good excuse to be the big absentee. Meghan has already indicated that she is not such a big fan of Trump. In fact, when she was still primarily an actress (and not a Duchess), she said she would move to Canada if he became president. That move has absolutely succeeded, and I think she likes England just as much as Canada.

But our big absentee was indeed present this weekend. Three days after Trump was kicked out of the country, Meghan made her appearance at Queen Elizabeth's birthday. I don't need to explain to you that this can definitely be interpreted as a jab at the POTUS. Love it. Plus points for Meghan.

And she looked stunning. Very beautiful, and for the occasion, she wore a dress from the same designer as her wedding dress. A dark blue ensemble by Clare Waight-Keller. Well, it must be said: a beautiful woman. And sometimes you just have to set your priorities when it comes to events, right? And she has done that very well this time.
