Meghan's best friend is getting a wedding show on Netflix

Meghan and her friend Jessica in blue dresses

Many women have known since their youth how they want to get married. What kind of dress, where, the honeymoon; I think many of us have a reasonable bucket list when it comes to getting married. Now, to be honest, I'm not really that way myself (although wearing such a beautiful dress seems really fun and I'm always up for a party, organizing it myself seems like such a hassle), but enjoying series that revolve around weddings is one of my guilty pleasures.

And especially because it’s a bit of playing the disaster tourist. I'm not the only one in this, as series that revolve around bridezillas generally score much better than series where everything goes smoothly. Netflix must have thought the same when creating their latest series I Do, Redo. The name says it all a bit... This series will revolve around wedding days that, well, didn’t exactly go as planned. Where à la Friends the wrong name is mentioned, perhaps? It will at least have a happy ending, as the couples get the chance to relive their wedding day in I Do, Redo and hopefully it goes well this time. So disaster tourist versus all's well that ends well.

A fun detail is that the presenter of the series, Jessica Mulroney, belongs to the in-crowd of Duchess Meghan Markle. In-crowd is a bit of an understatement, she is one of her BFFs. Will we also get some inside info about this royal wedding? Did Meghan perhaps have a last-minute bad hair day, or is it really true that Harry and Charles can’t see eye to eye and were bickering all day? I hope for some juicy royal gossip, but we probably won’t get that.

Anyway, I think this will be a series you can binge-watch on a dreary day (and unfortunately, I fear we will have many of those in the coming time). With these kinds of wedding series, I always pick up something for my future wedding. For example, I have already learned that a buffet is really a no go and that table arrangements are a nightmare to make. And that you should really leave everything to a wedding planner. It would be a shame if your guests end up being the disaster tourists at your own wedding.
